Here’s the short, non‑techie version of what you need to know:</p><hr/><h3>The big wins for everyday users</h3><ul><li><p><strong>Longer battery life.</strong> Intel is touting <em>up to</em> 27 hours of Netflix streaming on a reference design. Expect laptops that stay unplugged noticeably longer. Don't forget, real life usage varies by model, screen brightness, and settings. But I think you can leave your charger at home.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p><strong>Snappier performance.</strong> Tasks like opening apps, juggling tabs, video calls, and photo edits should feel faster, with Intel claiming up to 60% better multi‑threaded performance versus last year’s models. If you multitask, you'll be able to have a lot of different things open at the same time</p></li><li><p><strong>Better built‑in graphics.</strong> Even without a separate graphics card, these chips bring a bigger boost for casual gaming, streaming, and creator apps. Intel says integrated graphics are up to 77% faster on top configurations.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p><strong>Smarter, on‑device AI.</strong> There’s a dedicated AI engine (an “NPU”) that handles things like background blur, live captions, photo cleanup, and more. NPU handles all those tasks that we've become accustom to. Seriouly, who wants to show their bedroom in a work zoom call? Personally, I have a great home studio setup, but my background for zoom calls is bad. And I do a lot of TV News interviews so I need that blur effect.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><h3>When can you get one?</h3><ul><li><strong>Soon.</strong> Pre‑orders started during CES, and the first laptops begin shipping January 27 (with many more coming through the first half of 2026).&nbsp;</li></ul></div>

Around the world, half of people have been more inclined to give back to their neighbourhood since the pandemic and report that the neighbourhood is now one of their most important communities compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic.
