Amazon Ember Artline: A Fire TV That Doubles as Wall Art

Amazon’s new Ember Artline is built around a simple idea: your biggest screen shouldn’t feel like a blank black rectangle when you’re not using it. It’s designed to be “life’s dual canvas” a Fire TV for entertainment, and a curated display for artwork and personal photos in between.

A TV first… with an art mode you’ll actually use

Ember Artline is positioned as an entertainment hub and a gallery display in one. On the TV side, it’s a 4K QLED panel with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, plus a matte screen intended to reduce glare, useful if your TV lives in a brighter room. Wi‑Fi 6 is also onboard for smoother streaming.

Quick feature rundown

  • 4K QLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10+
  • Matte screen designed to reduce glare
  • Wi‑Fi 6 support
  • Gallery of 2,000+ free artworks plus personal photo display options
  • Frames that can be swapped, with multiple color options
  • Built-in sensors designed to wake the display when you enter and turn it off when you leave
  • Four HDMI inputs and AirPlay support
  • Privacy controls including a switch that electronically disconnects the microphones

The promise is a screen that looks great when you’re watching and looks intentional when you’re not.

Art that matches your space

Ember Artline includes a gallery of 2,000+ free works of art, with a focus on helping you find something that fits your style. One of the more interesting ideas: you can upload photos of your room and get recommended pieces intended to match your décor.

On the personal side, it also supports displaying your own photos in different formats, slideshows and collages, using the Amazon Photos app or voice commands through Alexa. The goal is to make the screen feel like a living part of the room rather than an “off” state.

Frames you can change as your style changes

The framing system is a big part of the “artline” concept. Amazon says the TV comes with a frame, and additional frames are available in ten colors, with simple installation so you can swap the look as your space evolves.

The new Fire TV experience (2026)

Ember Artline launches with the new Fire TV experience (2026 release), featuring a modern design that focuses on getting you to content faster. Expect more pinned apps, dedicated content categories, and a layout that’s meant to reduce the time spent scrolling.

Amazon also highlights the size of the Fire TV catalog, including access to over 1.8 million movies and TV episodes, with a large library of free ad-supported content (subscriptions may apply depending on services).

Smarter discovery with Alexa+

Alexa+ is positioned as the faster path to what you want, whether that’s finding something to watch across apps, controlling smart home devices, or getting recommendations using more natural voice requests.

Instantly on (and automatically off)

One of the most “living room friendly” features is the sensor system. Amazon says its custom Omnisense technology uses built-in sensors to wake the display when you enter so you immediately see artwork or can jump into watching, then turns the screen off when you leave to save energy.

Privacy controls built in

Amazon emphasizes privacy protections and controls, including a switch that electronically disconnects the microphones. If you want voice features sometimes but not always, that physical-style control matters.

Connections for real-world setups

Ember Artline includes four HDMI inputs for things like soundbars, consoles, and other gear. It also supports AirPlay for sharing content from compatible devices to the TV.

Amazon says Ember Artline will be available for pre-order on April 15 and starts shipping April 22.
